Funding from DKB usually means SEPA Überweisung into a BaFin licensed exchange, with Empfänger approved first. Our walkthrough makes it simple.
Yes. DKB does not offer native Bitcoin trading in DKB Banking, but SEPA transfers from a DKB account are widely used for funding exchanges. Many users fund Kraken or Bitpanda, and some prefer German EUR venues like BSDEX. Approvals run through TAN2go, so make sure it is working before you attempt a first transfer.
Make sure TAN2go is registered and working before you create the recipient, because DKB requires it to approve both recipient changes and transfers. If TAN2go breaks after a phone change, outgoing transfers can fail even though the account is fine. Fix TAN2go first, then retry the payment.
Instant depends on whether the receiving bank account supports SEPA Instant for that recipient. If Instant is supported on both sides, it can credit far faster than standard SEPA. If you do not see Instant, use standard SEPA and focus on correct deposit details.
DKB lets you manage transfer limits in its banking settings. Hitting the daily limit is a common reason a second transfer fails when funding in stages. Adjust the limit before sending and avoid repeated failed attempts.
Instant requires both ends to support it, and some banks restrict Instant for certain recipients. If Instant is not available for your deposit method, you will fall back to standard SEPA timing. The best way to reduce delays is clean recipient setup and correct reference usage.
They can work, but they are less predictable than SEPA. Card purchases can be declined based on issuer checks, while SEPA transfers are easier to reconcile because IBAN and reference rules are explicit. Use SEPA as your default and card only when you accept higher decline risk.
